Much has changed over the last 20 years since our incorporation. What hasn’t changed, though, is our commitment to providing high-quality, reliable water service at a fair price to our customers. Our dedicated staff, employees continually ensures that our agency stands heads above the rest with regard to the quality and value of our product and our service.
As we enter a new decade we face many challenges related to the reliability of our water supply. Regulatory mandates, increased costs, prolonged drought conditions, and the lack of state-wide capital investment in water facilities have made our jobs increasingly difficult. But with great challenges come new opportunities. Through innovative programs that our Board of Directors has championed over the past few months we have been able to diversify our water supply portfolio, develop new water supply alternatives through recycled water, and create safeguards through our water banking program.
Over the past few years water issues have made front page news, and we have found our public more engaged in the “how and why” of our business than ever before. We welcome the increased awareness and understanding our customers have on critical issues that impact their water supply. We encourage our customers to stay focused on these issues as statewide water policies are developed that impact the cost and reliability of future water supplies for our region.
